Although the tsunami incident was over, it still casts a shadow in everyone's heart. Everyone is trying their very best to aid the victims, to help them cope with the aftermath... coz afterall, it had been a traumatizing incident for them. The incident may have become a history, but it'll not be forgotten. The impact and damage done to the cities, to the people may take years to recover or even not.
However, what's the most heartwarming and consoled thing is that people from around the world are lending their hands, helping them in whatever they can. Right now, I'm watching the "Charity concert" organised by Andy lau and several other celebrities. They managed to gather more than 168 artistes from China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore and many other countries, within 2 days. All of them are giving in their best and urging the people to donate. The entire concert lasts from 4pm -10pm.
They also showcast the footages of the scenes and situations in those countries. I almost teared when those footages were braodcasted. There was this man who was searching for his son. He received news that his son is still alive, and ever since, he never gives up his search although all were fruitless. Hundreds of people visited the hosiptals every day, where theere would be lists of names of the patients "unclaimed" pasted at the entrance, in hope to find their loved ones. It was a pretty depressing though.
The tsunami incident has not only resulted in the physical but also psychological "damage" on the people, which they will remember for the rest of their lives.
