Never realise that i've not blogged for such a long period of time. Well, quite a number of meaningful events happened during this period of time. I'm pretty satisfied that I've not wasted a single day ever since my holidays start :D
Part 1
To start off with, I worked as a painter for the first 3 days of my holidays (which means, the day after my exam, I started working). Those 3 days were pretty memorizing as it triggered the beautiful memory spent in seconday school as an "nerdy" art student. Where I was trapped in this enclosed area, locked out to the outside world, with only one thought going through my mind ---- complete this what-seemed-endless-to-me-at-that-point-of-time-art-project. All the patience and concentration juz came back to me with a snap of the fingers. I really yearn to go back to the old school days. So Cindy and I, as promised, managed to complete the project (climbing up the shaky ladder and painting the foul-smelling restroom and office) on time. After that, I was "promoted" (not exactly promoted coz it was what i've applied for initially) to telemarketer position whereas C resigned, which is hardly a surprise to me.
The first day of work as a telemarketer was pretty freaking, coz I've always dread the thought of calling up someone - not becoz i don't want to, it's juzt that I'm so lazy to the extent that i find opening my mouth and letting the words juz flow out of it, very tedious. haha... now, you can see that I'm really a lazy pig.
My heart was thumping hard against the rib cage as I dialled the first company. It was my first move into the business-world, lolz... haha... first move to get to know successful, mature, charming and maybe, handsome, guyz. Pretty cool yet scary. However, as time went by, I got the hang of it and was pretty confident in it by the end of the first day. I realise I'm a pretty environmental adaptable lady (through this teeny weeny bit of experience, I have regarded myself as a grown-up now, grown out of the "mummy's gal" title... haha) afterall :D Wait! Before I forget, I made a HUGE discovery! I realise that throughout the entire telemarketing job, I sound like RL! I mean it isn't a bad thing afterall, but, oh god, I caught RL's virus and i sound *sad to say* kiddish over the phone. (never realise that it can be so contagious!)
My telemarketing job last for only 2 days, as Sam (my boss) assigned to do admin stuff which i seriously dread about it. Admin, as the word suggested, is equals to boredom. I think that no other jobs can beat it. That's why I really respect those admin clerks for being able to withstand such boredom, and somehow transform it to become part and parcels of their life. Transforming it into some kind of exciting or thrilling job for them? I don't know.
Well, fortunately, the admin job last for 2 days (again) and off I go, preparing myself for an oversea trip which I longed for :D Though, I've worked in this entertainment company for slightly more than a week, I received valuable experience on the working world of the adults and the opportunity to get my hands on several areas of "expertise". Oh yeah, I managed to clinch a project proposal with one of the major companies for my company. I was elated! haha, all of a sudden, I felt like a businesswoman, though I'm really far from being one. I seriously think that it was the most meaningful week of my holidays so far.
