and when she speaks

Although my holidays has officially started since last friday, I have yet to get a decent rest. I was supposed to be having a camp from Monday-Thursday, which is today, however something unpleasant happened. Everything went smoothly an great Monday. Little did i know that while I was happily enjoying myself, something happened to my dad. I called back home on Monday night to find out that Dad was admitted to hospital for dengue fever. This piece of news greatly dampened my mood. In the end, I left the next afternoon to visit my Dad. That marked the end of my camp.

Dad has become slimmer and slimmer everytime i see him. But am glad that a lot of ppl around him cared for him and sent their regards to him. Some even brought chicken essence, bird nest, lots of fruits, lunch etc. haha, my dad is never alone in the hospital. In addition, this incident has broke the ice between my dad and my eldest brother. They have not been talking to each other for 2 whole years! can u imagine that? Although living under the same roof, my eldest brother had been giving him a cold shoulder. However, through this incident, I realised how much he actually cares for Dad and even offers to pay for all his bills.

anyway, this incident has the greatest impact on mum. It has been tough on my Mum. She always has to rush down to the hospital right after work to learn about Dad's latest condition. When she reached home, she still has lots of housechores to do. However, mum never said a thing about it. She has showed the strong side of her which I've never seen before.

Dad was supposed to be discharged from the hospital by today. However, his condition has not shown any improvement. So, there he goes... another few more days in the hospital. This incident has sorta strenghtened our family bond and i look forward to dad's recovery.
