Yay! My drama performances on both days ended on a high note :). After 6 months of intensive practises, everything had finally came to an end yesterday. Although i had been surviving on a couple of hours of sleep for the past 1 week, it had been a rather enjoyable experience for me.
On Friday, the first day of performance, a few technical mistakes were committed but none was serious. Strangely, I wasn't nervous at all. Cindy, rl, chaorui and kok siong came down to give my their support. Right after the performance, I went up to the audience seats to find them and crap along with them. Although we were engaging in a nonsensical talk, it was fun and enjoyable. Oh yeah, I was really shocked to see chen yin lao shi among the audiences. I may not know her well, but I can tell that she's very supportive of her students. Nothing much happened after that, except the fact that I was so tired that i slept in front of my computer and forgot to bath. O_O
On Saturday, I received several compliments from my frenz, esp the crying scene. This added on to the stress that i was already facing, as these compliments might mean that they will expect more from me. O_O... as a result, I broke into cold sweat way before the performance and could feel the butterflies in my stomach. Totally nerve-racking for me. Thanks god, everything went smoothly and was so much more better than the night before. In addition, i heard that there were audiences who were so touched by our show that they teared. Upon hearing this, everyone was elated! haha... but seriously, the two lead actresses were simply great! Their acting is so realistic that it'll win you over and make you tear. :D
Btw, Don shocked me when he presented me with a stalk of sunflower. Although he had told me beforehand, i never took him serious as it was April's fool day. A big THANKS to ya! In addition, ty, sm, br, lw and gs chipped in to buy a bouquet of flowers for me too! I was freaking touched and shocked at the same time. Coz i've always remembered my gang as "stingy" and realistic people, haha... juz kidding... Nonetheless, I was really touched by the presence of my parents and frenz who came down to support me. CY and CH also came down to support me, but as i was busy entertaining my other frenz, I din manage to chat with them. OMG, there're simply so many ppl that i wanna thanks! Feel as if i've been awarded some glamourouss award from some glamourous ppl. Btw, I was really glad when dad complimented on my acting. Because if he said it, he really meant it. Thus, he seldom compliments me.
Oh yeah, the principal of NP also came down to give us his utmost support and he thanks every cast for their stupendous performance. So sweet of him. haha...
After the performace, it was a night out in orchard road with the entire casts. The rest of the night was spent at the Party World and chilling at the coffee club. No one left, except shiya and yifang, till dawn arrived.
Looking back, we might have suffered setbacks, but everything was worth it. I was nearly in tears during the finale last night. Good job everyone!
