My job officially ended on Friday after working for merely one week plus. :) Although it was a short period of time, I developed a feeling for the people there and the place. I really felt a sense of belonging there and would love to continue, despite the shitty workload I had to face. However, as I have to go back to school every day starting from monday, it makes it impossible for me to continue this job.
Anyway, I finally caught up with WX today since last May. However, I was experiencing a mixture of feeling before meeting him. I was afraid that the friendship we shared had faded away, and what left would be pure awkwardness. However, my worries was unfounded when I saw him. The sense of familarity was still there and we were able to crap like before. :) However, he seemed to have aged over the past one year.
He brought me to a fine restaurant inside Inter-continental Hotel where we shared a slice of Chocolate Royalty cake. It was one of the best cakes I've ever tried before. The chocolate was smooth and rich, and its hazelnut base was simply crunchy and delicious. However, the prices of the beverages were atrocious. A glass of sprite or coke costs $7.50. We were simply speechless and settled for a cup of coffee each.
It was a pretty nice chat session with him. Despite being 1 year older than me, his maturity and wisdom earn my admiration and respect. He had his future planned and had even bought an insurance for himself "=.=. No wonder I was once attracted to him and; had developed a feeling for him. He was the first person gave me the sense of security that I needed. Ironically, I never foresee myself getting attached to him.
At this very moment, what I have is pure admiration for his maturity and wisdom and nothing else. I'm pretty glad that he has found his other half and I wish him and his girlfriend well. :)
After hanging around at Bugis Junction for a short while, we parted our ways. Initially, I wanted to meet up with either CH or CY, however, I decided to back out last minute as I sprained my left foot and hurt like mad. :( Hope that the pain will go away asap.
