This post is gonna be quite random, haha, but it kinda sums up what i've been up to for the past few weeks :D
Have been helping out at my cousin's company for the past few days. Although the job scope was pretty easy (simply packing), it was enough to drive me nuts. Haha... during the course of my three years in poly, my brain has been trained to function 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. But now, only my hands are required to do the work. Felt pretty uneasy.
This job may be easy, but the thought of putting my brain into a hibernation mood just kinda put me off. I guess this isn't my cup of tea. ha.
Ystd was supposedly my last day at work, but something "unexpected" happen. It was the earthquake at Sumatra that took everyone by surprise. As a neighboring country, parts of Singapore could feel the tremor. And my working place was one of them. I was in the warehouse looking for something, when suddenly I heard my cousin shouting for me. Then, off we went. Out of the office, out of the building, out into safety. Throughout the entire process, I was quite in daze. Haha, I was pretty clueless about what was happening. Then my cousin was afraid that the building would collapse and suggested having our lunch somewhere "faraway" and drove her car out of the basement immediately. Haha... I didn't know how to react to her "kan cheong-ness". Haha...
So basically, the whole building was evacuated. haha... Frankly speaking, I didn't feel the earth shaking. haha... maybe becoz I was moving constantly, that's y I didn't feel anything. "=.= As a result of this, I wasn't able to finish packing all the products. So yeah, gotta go back tomorrow and finish it up. Oh well, what an exciting day for us. haha.
On a lighter note, I finally had my drum lesson!! haha... it was so eggciting! bwahaha... sorry, couldn't contain my excitement. My drum set will no longer be left sitting at one corner of my room and collecting dust. :D The new drum teacher is pretty awesome too. At least, he doesn't give me the feeling that I'm better off without a drum teacher. ha. And he kept emphasising "Drums is not about playing the beats, but about feeling the music." He turned to me and say again, "Feel the music. " As if afraid that I didn't catch that phrase. haha... it was pretty hilarious though.
But I guess I'm pretty back to a square one, after not playing for several months. Need some time to "feel the music" again. haha
