The arrival of the long awaited weekend left me in a state of euphoria that I felt I could just kneel down and kiss the ground. Ha... This week had simply been atrocious that it robbed me of my precious sleep! After returning back from Malaysia over the weekend, I was struggling to finish a 10 page essay within hours (something which I used to think was ridiculous, ha). When I thought the worst was over, my dearest lecturer decided to spring us a surprise. "=.=... And the surprise was none other than a series of tests that took everyone's breathe away. Aside from tests, assigments were still given on a regular basis, which had to handed in the next day. So, it was test after test and assignment after assignment. Ha. I honestly think that I've screwed up all three tests badly.

Anyway, on a lighter note, the snorkelling trip in Perhentian Island, Malaysia was really fun despite the very fact that I had to bring my homework over! ha.. Having stayed in a developed city, filled with skyscrapers and man-made natural landscape, throughout my entire life, the experience over at that little island was indeed refreshing for me. ha. The water was kinda crystal clear to the extent that the sea-bed, which was about 300m deep, was visible to your naked eyes. You can see school of fishes swimming around and coral reefs dancing to the waves. Prettaye! Ha... Kinda fell in love with snorkelling. Ha. Oh well, I'll let the following pictures speak a thousand words while I'll rest my badly-battered brain. =)

The resort have 2 types of chalets and this is one of it. At a glance of it, it's as though the resort is located at some snowy place off in Europe. Freakin prettaye!

This is our dining area. As our resort is freaking small, and surrounded by either forests or sea, this is the only place where we can eat to our fills.

On the right, it's the chalet that we stayed in. It looks kinda dilapitated, as compared to the one above, and directly at the back of it is the forest. So, you won't be surprise to find huge spiders crawling around while u're bathing or sleeping. Ha. Nonetheless, its simplicity kinda brings u back to the kampong-era where everything is so simple and primitive. ha.

The beach is really breath-taking - water is crystal clear. They've even installed swings onto the trees! ha... I sound so much like a "country-pumpkin". At night, zillions of stars will be blinking their eyes up in the gorgeous night-sky.

Here we are, ready to embark on a snorkelling trip. The speed boat, as the name suggests, is freaking fast. It feels as if we were travelling in a convertible sports car, and racing on the high-way at 120kn/hr.

This is where our snorkelling experience starts =)

The instructor (the one in dark-blue), is one of the holiday-makers at the resort, who has volunteered themselves for a period of one month, to teach people snorkelling.

Next time, I'll make sure I have a waterproof camera with me to take tons and tons of pix under-sea =)
